A military officer facing child pornography charges has been suspended from his role with the Australian Embassy in Indonesia.
News Corp Australia reports the senior military officer who works with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade at the Jakarta-based embassy faces six charges including possessing and producing child pornography.
The man allegedly transposed photos of two Australian girls’ faces onto child pornography images found online, News Corp reports.
He was arrested in July in Darwin and has been suspended from his duties.
The man’s lawyer told News Corp his client denied allegations he engaged in illegal activity and possessed illegal material.
The man is due to appear in court in October.
